If there are regular tasks that you need to perform on your PC - such as defragging and system backups - it's easy to forget to do them when there are seemingly much more important things to take care of.
System Scheduler aims to remedy this by allowing you to schedule tasks whilst you are away from your PC.
The developers compare it to MSTask, AT or WinAT but claim it offers more flexibility and features.
It offers a simple popup reminder system that can also notify you of appointments and things to do beyond tasks on your PC. All tasks and reminders can be set to run once or every minute, hour, day, week, month or year with several variations on these.
What really impresses about this scheduler however is the fact that it allows you to schedule not only programs but also keypresses. This allows you to schedule programs to run overnight or at the weekend and during this time, perform other functions as if you were instructing it from the keyboard to do certain other functions.
Whatsmore, it also keeps an eye out for popup windows warning you of problems during tasks - this means that if you receive an error message, System Scheduler will acknowledge it and continue the task.
This is an excellent task scheduler that offers way more that Windows own task manager. If only it could be integrated into Outlook's reminder system, it would make make working and scheduling even easier.
